Jim Broglio

I began riding dirt bikes at the age of sixteen, street bikes at the age of eighteen. I raced as a Novice in the 1995 season at WMRRA and OMRRA and raced as an Expert in the 1996 season. In the 1997 thru 1999 seasons and consistently finished in the top ten at all races. Race career highlights include: 1995 WMRRA Novice novice graduate, a 3rd place finish in the WMRRA 6 hour endurance race, and a 6th place in the OMRRA 4 hour endurance race in 1996. In 1997, I managed top 3 in multiple races before mechanical problems ended the season. In 1998 I had a fun but short season due to getting married. Didn’t crash at all and dropped my lap times at SIR to a competitive 1:38 at SIR. In 1999 Finished in the top 1/3 of all races entered, no crashes.

JD Madlin

As a 1999 WMRRA Novice on a CBR600, I successfully graduated from the Novice ranks with clean record on a borrowed bike from Les Criess, #83 On the infamous “Pink-Pig”. (Great leaning bike and built like a bulletproof tank.) In 2000, as a WMRRA Expert on a FZR600, I completed my FZR600 bike project but was plagued with mechanical issues throughout the season. I swapped back and forth between the “Pink-Pig” and my bike. Consistently finished mid-pack…no crashes. Season shortened by marrying the woman of my dreams…but racing continues, HaHa! In 2001-2002, I made upgrades to the FZR600 and the bike was finally coming into it’s own and starting to be competitive…as well as the pilot. Blew a motor third race of the season so I missed out on the season’s point’s race but steadily moving up in the pack as far as finishes. Competed in LW Early GP and TFS. 2003 WMRRA Expert on a FZR600. Both bike and rider very competitive this year. All races entered placed in top 1/3rd of class. As I was able to get times down to low consistent 1:40’s, I entered the Superbike Shootout 8-Hour Endurance Race at SRP with Team Imbroglio and placed 6th in class, and 14th overall. In 2004 I will not be competing in the regular 2004 season as a steady competitor with the new addition to our family, Haylei Ann Madlin and the purchase of our new larger home this year. Instead, I will be volunteering my services as a mentor for the 2nd WMRRA New Riders Clinic in August 2004. I will also be hooking up with Team Imbroglio once again to compete for the 6-Hour Endurance race title at SRP. Have purchased CB160 from Group W Racing at the end of the 2003 season and am attempting to put together a competitive bike for the Formula160 Vintage class to allow for an additional class as well as time on the track without breaking the budget. Those guys rock…and they have a lot of fun!!!
